The Calgary International Beerfest is in town, at the BMO Centre, and they are just waiting for you. Happening May 4th and 5th, this is more than just an opportunity to get your beer on, it’s a chance to sample beers you might never otherwise encounter. You might find your new favourite beer here!
But it’s not just exchanging tickets for tiny glasses of foamy joy, there are seminars to learn from, and music to enjoy.
For the hungry, there are Cooking with Beer presentations, for the ambitious there are Brew Master Seminars, and for the advanced there are Malting Casks.
You can also enjoy local Celtic party band the Novascotiables as well as the Mitch Belot Band and others. We’ve attended in the past, and this is a good excuse to take a cab downtown. Don’t forget your ID… 18 and over only!
